Shafiq Rehman is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon, and the purpose of this project was to completely rebuild his website in PHP (it was previously written in ASP), add new features and sections, and then upload to a new host.

For this website I took my existing wireframe website template and modified it into the Shafiq Rehman website. Once I had done that I started the lengthy tast of adding ALL of the content and pages from the old site into the new one. The reason this was lengthy is because there are around thirty pages of content on his website. I also needed to recreate the javascript accordion menu (in the right column).

One of the clients requirements on this website was that it used images for the main page headers, the reason for this is due to a specific font he wanted to use. It is not ideal but I fulfilled the clients request.

Due to the website using a template, I had to write a script so that the main banner image at the top changed when in the relevant section.

A number of new features were then added to the website once I had finished recreating the old website, these included:

• A content managed testimonials section.
• A javascript font size changer.
• A videos section, to show his exposure on UK television.
• A javascript image slideshow.

This is an ongoing project as new features are being added to the website if and when needed. The next thing to add is a vertical news ticker type box under the right column menu to show the latest testimonials added to the website.
