Adidas 'Adicolor' Shoe

14 Nov 2006 - Custom Adidas 'Adicolor' shoe design that I did at Wakefield College on the HND course using Adobe Photoshop.

This piece of work was completed while I was at Wakefield College.

The unique thing about this assignment was that the whole design process was reversed. So I started out in my sketchbook designing a surface design to go on an unknown lifestyle product. A couple of final designs were chosen before the unknown lifestyle product was unveiled, these were a pool/billiards theme and a Chinese themed design.

After finding out the product was in fact an Adidas Adicolor shoe I initially toyed around with both designs before it became obvious that the Chinese theme was the one to go for. I'm very happy with how my shoe design came out and I feel it wouldn't look out of place on a shop shelf amongst other Adidas shoes.

The design for the shoe can be printed out and folded together to form a paper/cardboard shoe. I used Adobe Photoshop to apply my designs to the shoe.
